Marcie Cohen Ferris (1957- ) was born in Blytheville, Ark., to Jerome and Hudda Cohen. Ferris received her B.A. from Brown University in 1981, her M.A. from the College of William and Mary in 1985, and her Ph.D. from George Washington University in 2003.
